DUES & OTHER COSTS
All Cub Scout Packs have fees which are paid annually. In our Pack, we try to reduce fees by fundraising throughout the year. There are two main fees to pay each year, $85 National Dues and $120 Pack Fee, for a total of $205 per year. National Dues will be paid directly to BSA yearly. Pack Fee can be paid in person or online.
Other costs will come along with activities, uniforms, books, etc. See below for more details:
THE UNIFORM
The uniform is a method of delivering the Scouting program. It shows that you are a member of a team and give the kids a sense of belonging. Each grade has a specific uniform for their program.
- Shirt — The official blue uniform shirt is available with long or short sleeves and has button-flap pockets.
- Pants/Shorts — Shorts, long pants, skorts, and roll up pants all are in official blue.
- Belt — Official navy-blue web belt with metal buckle.
- Socks — Official den-specific socks are available in three lengths: ankle, crew, and knee.
- Hat — Official hat with Den emblem. (optional)
- Neckerchief — Triangular neckerchief with Den logo.
- Neckerchief Slide — Official gold-tone metal slide with Den emblem. Cub Scouts may wear handmade neckerchief slides.
THE HANDBOOK
Each grade level has a specific handbook they use. Handbooks vary in price and are used for the year. Handbooks have all the required and elective adventures for each rank. Handbooks also serve as a Scout’s record of completing adventures.
