Den Meetings

By Weekly

We meet each Monday night at Mineral Wells United Methodist Church.

Our meetings begin with a flag ceremony where the cubs march in, recite the Pledge of Allegiance, The Scout Oath, and the Scout Law. From there we split into our smaller groups, or dens, to work on our rank advancements and adventure loops. When each den is done for the night, they are sent off until our next meeting.

Each Den Meeting typically lasts about an hour. The scouts are welcome to dress in their Class A uniforms during these meetings, but it isn’t necessary.

Arrow of Light Crossover

By Upcoming

The Arrow of Light Crossover event is a monumental moment for Cubs who have successfully navigated through Cub Scouts and are about to enter Scouts BSA. As Eagle Scout rank is the ultimate achievement in Scouts BSA, AOL is the highest rank for those in Cub Scouts!

We will be recognizing our AOL Cub Scouts and celebrating their crossover to Scouts. All are welcome to attend.

Service Project

By Upcoming

Doing service projects together is one way that Cub Scouts keep their promise “to help other people.” While a Scout should do their best to help other people every day, a group service project is a bigger way to help people. While you’re giving service, you’re learning to work together with others to do something that’s good for your community.

Pinewood Derby

By Past

The Pinewood Derby is one of the most popular events in Cub Scouting. During the event, your Cub Scout will race small, driverless wooden cars down a sloped track. The cars are powered only by gravity. With an adult’s help, each Pinewood Derby car is built by a Cub Scout using a kit that includes a wooden block, plastic wheels and metal axles.

Fire Station Night

By Past

Visiting a fire station or police station with Cub Scouts is always a lot of fun! They can learn, explore, and enjoy a night at the fire station.

Because Tuesday, November 4 is Election Day, we can’t meet at Mineral Wells UMC. Instead, we will meet at the Fair Haven Volunteer Fire Department.
